LET'S TALK ABOUT MY JOB
10:25 PM

[PICTURE IS NT TAKEN AT MY WORK-PLACE]

Finally, i have the time to blog about my current job...
I know your guys are waiting for me to blog abt it RIGHT? hahahaha :D
First day, i reported to the pharmacy department at 9.30pm. One of the pharmacist brought me around the polyclinic to let me understand more about their working system. She shown me aound the Medications area, where pharmacy assistants pick-up and prepare medications.
I TELL U; I NEARLY WAN TO YELL ! ALL THE MEDICATIONS ARE NAMED BY THEIR long term NAMES! I WAN TO CRY ARH! N Their pre-packed amount was big, like in 112 tablets, 168 tablets. Not every medications are pre-packed. Some of them, we still have to cut the amount of tablets we need. I am somehow the only "new" pharmacy assistant in the pharmacy. I never thought that "by just picking; packing medications" can be so bored. it's real bored. But it's good that somehow i can remember whr the medications are, so it's easier for me to pick them.

Second day, i got to learn about scanning patients' label bar-codes. More things will be coming up during my job training. And i think my pharmacy technician course will be next year july 2010.. It's still so long away.
Heard from the pharmacist that..., to be a pharmacy technician, there will be a test every year. If the Pharmacy technician failed the test, then drop back to Pharmacy Assistant! WTHELL!

The work environment isn't that good, which i expected. I dun really know how to talk to the Technicans there.. mayb bcos of age gap bah.. Lucky, i met Nithya.:]
And Y.H will be finishing her attachment here soon, n going back to NUS for studies le.

I WISH HER ALL THE BEST IN HER STUDIES! THE FUTURE PHARMACIST! XD
